A panel of financial experts will be available to answer your questions about paying medical bills, benefit plans after cancer, life and medical insurance, developing a financial plan, and any other questions related to finance and cancer. What’s The Stitch?

Know how to knit or crochet? Help Jen Fielder, RN by coming to the support group and making some Knitted Knockers! They’re lightweight, soft prosthesis’ donated to women who have just had a mastectomy. Don’t know how to knit or crochet? That’s ok, Jen will teach you.

Tuesday, February 16th: Cancer Caregiver Support Group. This group is open to caregivers of patients with any type of cancer. It is free of charge, offered in a drop-in format, and facilitated by a licensed mental health clinician. Tuesday, February 16th: American Cancer Society Support Group. Weekly support group for cancer patients, survivors, family and caregivers. Every Tuesday, 7-8:30pm at Wells Fargo Bank. 301 W. Northern Lights, second floor conference room. 258-1937.
Tuesday, February 16th: Gynecologic Cancer Support Group. Let Every Woman Know is offering a regular support group free of charge in a drop-in format. This group is facilitated by a licensed mental health clinician. Please join us! Wednesday, February 17th: US Too Guys Coffee and Shmoozing. Join Anchorage’s prostate and testicular support group in sharing, asking questions or just listening. It’s a great time to get to know one another and spend some time with those that probably know a thing or two about what you are going through. Every Wednesday, 10am. Wednesday, February 17th: What’s the Stitch? A come-as-you-are, when-you-are-able support group for anyone touched by that “club” no one asks to join: cancer. Tuesday, February 16th: Coffee with Don. Meet with fellow prostate cancer survivors to go over any new information/resources that have been encountered, talk about how to help anyone who has contacted the Kenai Peninsula Prostate Cancer Support Group and just have fellowship and support. Thursday, February 18th:  Kenai Peninsula Prostate Cancer Support Group. Small group of men whose goal is to increase awareness of prostate cancer issues on the Kenai Peninsula. Everyone welcome to come and meet with prostate cancer survivors for discussions, education and fellowship. Monday, February 15th: Team Survivor Perseverance Walk/Run Program. This walking group focuses on heart rate. Meets on Mondays at 10:00am and Wednesdays at 5:15pm at Diamond Field House (until Spring) to walk indoors. There is also a yoga class on Saturdays at 10:00am. Wednesday, February 17th: Interior Alaska Cancer Support Group. This group concentrates on general support and assistance in dealing with specific cancers.
